They are two ways to check your remaining balances on Telkom, it is as easy as dialing some codes and making use of some applications.
How to check Telkom data balance
- Open your phone’s dialer
- Dial *188# and send, select buy data (or equivalent)
- Select the duration and the amount you wish to buy then send.
- You can also send ‘balance’ to 188 to receive your data balance. Your data balance will be displayed.
How to check your Telkom WiFi router data balance
To check your wireless router balance login to Telkom Self Service portal to view your data and/or WiFi balance.
Send an SMS via your modem dashboard to 188 to receive your WiFi balance.
How to check your Airtime and SMS balance on Telkom mobile
To do this you’ll have to download the Telkom app from either the play store or the app store depending on the mobile phone you are using.

Open your phone’s dialer
Dial this numbers *180# and then choose the ‘bundle purchase’ option.
You can also log on to their self-service portal. On the Telkom mobile app for iOS or Android, but you’ll need data to do so.
